Hawk Softball to Host Prospect Day

Head Coach Karla Ross to Lead Sessions of Offensive and Defensive Drills

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – University of Maryland Eastern Shore head softball coach Karla Ross has announced that the Hawks will be hosting an elite level softball camp on September 17 for student-athletes seeking to learn what it takes to be a collegiate level player.

"After one of our best years in program history, the Hawks are looking to continue to grow and find more talented student-athletes to improve the team," Ross said. "Come join us to showcase your skills and learn from the MEAC Coach of the year."

The camp day will be split into two sessions, with hitting taking center stage in the morning and defensive drills will be conducted in the afternoon. Campers ages 14-18 can attend one or both of the sessions on the day.

During the camp, athletes will get hands-on experience with Ross, a former first team All-Big 10 first baseman in her playing days, as well as other current staff and players. Attendees will be able to participate in college-level drills, learn important fundamentals and most importantly, learn to be the best versions of themselves.

Registration for the camp is now open at www.easternshorecamps.com and runs until the day of the event. Each session costs $53.19 per camper, or $106.38 for both. Campers are expected to bring their own equipment.
