NORFOLK, Virginia – October 23, 2026 – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball team was selected to finish third in the 2026-27 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Preseason Predicted Order of Finish, while Kaliya Perry and Mak Moore were named to the MEAC Preseason Watch List.

The Hawks received 56 points in the preseason poll, including one first-place vote. Howard was selected as the preseason favorite with 86 points and 10 first-place votes, followed by Norfolk State with 76 points.

Perry and Moore were among the student-athletes selected to the conference's Preseason Watch List. Perry enters the season as a sophomore forward from Hampton, Virginia, while Moore is a sophomore guard from Brooklyn, New York.

The preseason poll and watch list were voted on by the conference's head coaches and sports information directors.
