UMES SCORING

In a strong field with the team winning score was a combined 37-under par by Georgia State and the low individual went to North Carolina A&T's Drew Walker with a 13-under tournament, the young Hawk lineup comprised of freshmen and sophomore held their own. Sophomore Max Osten played the most consistent for UMES through 72 holes with rounds of 77, 71 and 74 for a total of 222. A pair of UMES freshmen followed in Andreas Roman and Jaden Hansen. Roman shot a 72 in the second round which was sandwiched with identical score of 76 for a total count of 224. In his first collegiate tournament of the season, Hansen helped make his case to stay in the Hawk lineup with rounds of 74, 78 and 72 to tie Roman at 224 for the tournament. Jeter Teng also broke 80 in all three rounds with scores of 75, 76 and 76 for a total of 227. Marcos Ramirez contributed to the team score with a second round 75 to go along with scores of 80 and 81 for a three round total of 236.

As a team, UMES finished with rounds of 302, 294 and 298 for the final total of 894. The second and third round scores mark the first time UMES has recorded consecutive sub-300 team scores in a 72-hole tournament.
