Young Hawks battle through weather conditions for 13th place finish in Georgia


SUMMARY

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's golf team comprised of a lineup of sophomores and freshmen battled through the outdoor elements to finish in 13th place at the Southern Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Georgia earlier this week.

UMES SCORING

Playing on a wet and suggy Athens Country Club course with wind and rain playing a factor in the scoring, the Hawks combined for a team score of 327 in the first round and a 320 in the second round for a total stroke count of 647. Sophomore Max Osten was the low Hawk for the week. After shooting an 84 in the first round, Osten bounced back with one of the best rounds in the field, carding a 74, for a total count of 158. Jeter Teng recorded rounds of 82 and 81 for a total score of 163. Andreas Roman also netted a 163 with rounds of 79 and 84. Marcos Ramirez finished with a total of 166 with scores of 82 and 84. Jaden Hansen shot a 91 followed by an 81 for a total of 172.
