SUMMARY
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Le Moyne Dolphins outlasted the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks, 16-15, on Saturday afternoon at Dick Rockwell field.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
In the first inning, Julian Jimenez scored on an error to put UMES ahead, 1-0. The Hawks followed up with back-to-back RBI base hits from Diego Aponte and Henry Clausell to increase their lead by two in the second inning.
After Le Moyne scored on a balk in the second, Aponte crushed a two-run home run over the right field fence before Jonathan Gonzaelz Perez laced a two-run single to give UMES their largest lead of the contest, 7-1.
The Dolphins took control of the game in the fourth and fifth frames, tying up the game by the end of the fifth inning.
Tied 7-7, Gonzalez Perez lashed a go-ahead home run to give UMES the lead in the sixth. Later in the frame, Darrius Brown scorched a homer over the left field fence to drive in two more for the Maroon and Grey.
Although Le Moyne answered with a run in the bottom of the sixth, Henry Clausell scorched the fourth UMES home run of the game on a two-run blast in the seventh to put UMES in front by four, 12-8.
Le Moyne once again inched closer with a run in the seventh before UMES recorded their third consecutive inning with a two-run home run on a deep drive over the fence by Marco Davila to take a 14-9 lead into the bottom of the eighth.
In the eighth inning, Le Moyne battled back to take the lead with a six-run frame. Trailing 15-14 in the ninth, Jimenez mashed UMES' sixth home run of the game on a solo shot to tie the game.
Unfortunately for the Hawks, Le Moyne scored the game winning run on a wild pitch in the ninth to complete the three-game series sweep over UMES
THE NUMBERS
The Hawks finished with 15 runs on 13 hits and an error while the Dolphins tallied 16 runs on 18 hits and two errors
UMES recorded a season-high six home runs. Aponte and Davila each recorded their first home runs of the season, Clausell tallied his third, Brown amassed his fourth, Jimenez slashed his eighth, and Gonzalez Perez blasted his team-high 14th on the season
Clausell, Gonzalez Perez, Caldwell, and Aponte all posted two-hit games for the Hawks while Clausell, Gonzalez Perez, and Aponte all paced UMES with three-RBI apiece
