SMYRNA, DE — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore cross country program concluded its second meet of the season Friday afternoon at the Delaware State University Sting Invitational.

Freshman Lila Moore made her season debut and led the Hawks in the women's 5K, finishing with a time of 25:59.5. Classmate Ketarah Johnson followed with a time of 27:06.6. 

Senior Siyabonga Mbatha highlighted the men's 5K with his first top-five finish of the season, placing fourth with a time of 15:43.3. Junior Fidelis Osunkwo followed with a time of 17:48.3.
