Baltimore, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Lady Hawk Tennis team took on in-state rivals Loyola College in a non-conference match-up on Thursday afternoon. The greyhounds got the better of the Hawks 7-0.

Nadia Flores Hernandez played well at the #1 singles slot, before she fell to Amy Nitch 6-2, 6-2. Flores-Hernandez's teammate, Aissatou Ba played at the #2 singles spot and also had a solid outing before falling to Jessica Liberatore by the same score.

In other singles action Yamada Dorsey and Sashonna Leak both put up points against their opponents as they fell 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0 respectively.

In doubles action Flores-Hernandez and Ba were topped by Nitch and Liberatore 8-2 while Haaveshe Sawyer and Leak were defeated 8-1. Dorsey and Fatoumata Ba also fell by the same score, 8-1.

UMES' next match is also in Baltimore, as they take on Coppin State University on April 13, 2006.
