UMES LOSES 7-0 CONTEST TO SALISBURY

SALISBURY, MD. The Lady Hawks tennis squad took on local rival Salisbury on March 1 and lost their non-conference decision against the Seagulls, 7-0.

In the number one singles match, Nadia Flores Hernandez dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Jen Rosler. Aissatou Ba fell 6-2, 6-2 in the two spot to SU's Anna Marie Kable while Robyn Wendell took down Fatoumata Ba in the three spot, 6-2, 6-2.

Haaveshe Sawyer lost in the number four singles match to Melissa Wallace 6-1, 6-2 while Holly Hager took down the maroon and gray's Bola Abioye, 6-4, 6-0 in the fifth spot.

SU's doubles team of Rosler and Erika Mitry downed Flores and A. Ba, 8-5. F. Ba and Sawyer lost the number two doubles match to Wendell and Wallace, 8-2.
