PRINCESS ANNE, MD. The UMES Women's Tennis team lost a 7-0 conference decision to Howard on March 10 at the Hawk Courts.

Nadia Flores Hernandez fell 6-4, 6-1 to HU's Laura Marin in the number one singles match while Aissatou Ba couldn't hold on in the number two match and lost to Lauren Finn, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. Cecilia Towns took down Fatoumata Ba, 7-5, 6-1 in the number three singles match.

Ayana Hipolite, Marian Blancada, and Whitney Ambush swept their bouts against Haaveshe Sawyer, Yamada Dorsey, and Sashonna Leak in the remaining singles match.

In doubles action, the duo of Flores and A. Ba fell 8-2 to Marin and Jasmin Smith while Townes and Courtney Dorsey defeated Sawyer and Tonaio Swangin 8-0. F. Ba and Dorsey lost 8-1 in the number three doubles match to Blancada and Ambush.
