UMES FALLS 7-0 IN HOME CONTEST AGAINST MORGAN STATE

PRINCESS ANNE, MD. The UMES Women's Tennis squad dropped a 7-0 conference decision to visiting Morgan State on March 11.

The bout of the match came at the #2 singles spot, as Aissatou Ba and MSU's Renae Alleyne waged a tight battle with Alleyne winning 6-4, 6-4. Nadia Flores Hernandez dropped the number one spot to Walaa Elsir, 6-0, 6-1 while Fatoumata Ba fell 6-1, 6-1 in the number three spot to Imani Willis.

Kemi Osunsan defeated Yamada Dorsey 6-1, 6-0 in the number five singles spot while Tonaio Swangin dropped the sixth spot to M. King 6-1, 6-1.

The duo of Flores and A. Ba fell in a close decision to Elsir and Alleyne in the number one doubles spot, 8-6 while Willis and Aida Rasheed took down Sawyer and Swangin 8-1 in the number two doubles match. Osunsan and King defeated F. Ba and Dorsey 8-3 in the final doubles match of the day.

The Lady Hawks' next contest will be on March 28 in a 2:00 pm road decision at Hampton.
