PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) fell at home on Sunday, March 11 against the Leopards of Lafayette College 7-0. The Leopards won the doubles point, taking two of the three matches. They got a win,t eh first of the season from Nadia Flores Hernandez and Aissatou Ba who topped Danielle Bailey and Ansley Scudder 8-6.

In the other doubles matches Fatoumata Ba and Haaveshe Sawyer fell to Nancy Parker and Sarah Sykes 8-1 while Bolanle Abioye and Tonaio Swangin fell to Jacqui Bonder and Kim Sialiano 8-2.

In singles action #1 seed Flores Hernanadez again played well, falling 6-3, 6-2 to Bailey while Abioye fell to Bonder at #5 by the same scores. Sawyer was also competitive falling 6-2, 6-2 at #4 singles to Parker while Fatoumata Ba fell 6-1, 6-1 to Scudder in #3 singles.

UMES plays at Morgan State on Friday, March 16 at 2:00 pm in a MEAC match.
