Final Stats

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Hawks had a tough first match in MEAC play, falling to defending Northern Division champion Howard on the road 7-0. UMES falls to 1-7 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

UMES was defeated in all six singles matches and three doubles matches and was not able to pick up a game in the contest.

The Hawks will play Morgan State on Sunday in their home opener and first of three matches in a row in Princess Anne.
