March 28, 2016 PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Junior distance runner Khalil Rmidi Kinini (Malaga, Spain) and sophomore sprinter Loundy Desire (Queens Village, N.Y.) were named the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 27.

Rmidi Kinini and the Hawks competed in their first 10K event ever. He won the event with a time of 31:37.65, making that time the de facto Hawks record.

Desire set a new collegiate best in a 100 meter dash victory time of 12.07 seconds, and then followed that with wins in the 200 meter (24.86 seconds) and the 4x100 relay (47.48 seconds).

The Hawks are currently scheduled to head back to North Carolina for the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point University this weekend, April 1-2.
