Hawks Drop Match Against Morgan State

DURHAM, N.C. ÃÆ'Æ'Æ'ÃÆ'ââ'¬Â '¢ÃÆ'Æ'Æ'¢'¬" Coach Walter Woods and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Women's Tennis team dropped its neutral site match against in-state foe Morgan State (MSU), 6-1, at North Carolina Central (NCCU) Tennis Courts. The contest counted towards league play.

With the setback, Eastern Shore fell to 0-5 (0-2 MEAC) while the Lady Bears moved to 3-11 (1-0 MEAC) on the season.

In singles competition, Morgan State won the first five matches without Maryland Eastern Shore scoring (6-0, 6-0). Junior Alese Brown (Charleston, S.C.) picked up The Shore's lone victory in a forfeit.

MSU swept doubles play with the identical score, 6-0.

Tomorrow (March 21), Eastern Shore faces the Hampton Lady Pirates. Match-time is set for 1:30 p.m.
