PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — University of Maryland Eastern Shore freshman Makayla Adams (Bowie, Maryland) was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending Nov. 25.

Adams averaged 12.0 points a game in contests against Virginia Tech and East Carolina this past week, going a combined 10-for-21 (.476) from the floor and hitting four of her 11 3-pointers. She had 13 points against the Hokies, hitting five of her 10 field goals – including three 3-pointers. She had 11 points against East Carolina to go along with five rebounds.

She made her first career start at Easter Carolina.

The Hawks will return to action on Dec. 3 when they host Greensboro College.
