PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – After a successful meet in South Carolina, the Maryland Eastern Shore track and field team will head across the Bay Bridge to compete in the annual Towson Invitational this Friday (April 1) and Saturday (April 2).
The Hawks last competed in the event in 2019, with the women taking sixth and the men taking ninth.
Last weekend at the Weems Baskin Invitational, a slew of Hawks set personal records, mostly in the throws, and
Janoi Brown dominated the 400m with a 48.27 – putting him atop the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference standings.
Schools attending include host Towson University, MEAC rivals Delaware State, fellow shore college Salisbury University and a combination of schools ranging from JUCO to Division 1 competition.
Events start at noon on Friday with the hammer throw and the last event is scheduled to be the men's 4x400m at 6:30 on Saturday evening.
