PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball program is pleased to announce Adria Crawford as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2024-25 season, joining Malikah Willis on the coaching staff.

Crawford arrives at UMES following two successful seasons with the George Washington Revolutionaries, where her team reached the 2023-24 A-10 Quarterfinals. The Buff and Blue, seeded 7th, secured a first-round bye and triumphed over the 10th seed before narrowly falling to the second seed in the quarterfinals.

During her tenure at GW, Crawford played a pivotal role with the team setting a school record for the most made three-pointers in a season in 2022-23. Her efforts also resulted in three players earning All-Conference honors, including Nya Robertson, who was named the league's Sixth Woman of the Year.

In her final season at GW, Crawford successfully recruited Michigan's Miss Basketball for the class of 2024 and concluded the season with two players receiving All-Conference Honors.

Before joining GW, Crawford served as an assistant at East Tennessee State University during the 2021-22 season. There, she contributed to a squad that ranked second in the Southern Conference for made three-pointers, as well as being in the top three for steals and blocked shots.

Prior to her time at ETSU, Crawford was at Marshall University, where she served as the recruiting coordinator and helped guide the team to an appearance in the WBI in 2019. She also previously worked as an assistant at the College of Charleston, focusing on the development of post and wing players while managing academic and compliance operations.

A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Crawford graduated from Georgetown University, where she excelled as a player on the women's basketball team. She concluded her career ranking second all-time at Georgetown in games played (131) and in the top 15 for career rebounds (646), blocked shots (61), and steals (174).
