Nahom Ftwi earns all-conference honors at MEAC Championships

Nahom Ftwi highlighted the Hawks efforts during Saturday's MEAC Championships.
With a run of 28:26.20, Ftwi earned All-MEAC honors by placing in the top 15. With the result, Ftwi has now earned All-MEAC honors three times in his collegiate career (2019, 2022, 2023).Â
Ftwi was the top performer for a Hawks men's team that finished in fifth place overall with a combined team time of 2:27:50 and an average time of 29:34. Norfolk State claimed its fourth straight cross country conference title. Delaware State finished second and North Carolina Central was third.
The Hawk women came in seventh place in the 5k race with a combined time of 2:03:53 and an average race of 24:46. NSU also claimed the women's title while Howard finished second. N.C. Central finished in third place.
