Alan Faulks was a tenacious competitor on the court who earned the nickname "Mr. Clutch." The Norfolk, Virginia native currently ranks 4th all-time in points in a season at UMES (537 pts in 1980). As a senior, Faulks led the 1982-1983 Hawks with just under 16 points per game en route to finishing 3rd place in the MEAC standings. For his efforts, Faulks was a 2nd team All-MEAC Tournament performer in 1983 and finished as a career 50% field goal shooter.
