Parham, a 6-foot-9 forward, came to the Hawks from Chicago, Illinois played three seasons for the Hawks and was known for his rebounding, defense and hard-nosed inside play. He finished his career with 622 rebounds — the most in school history since joining Division I. By his junior season he was a fixture in the lineup averaging 11.4 points and 8.6 rebounds. He was an early entry candidate, but returned to school after testing the waters at the Chicago pre-draft camps. As a senior, he started in all 29 games and averaged 14.0 points and 10.3 rebounds in 32.4 minutes per game, earning All-MEAC honors to cap his collegiate career. He was also named to The Black College All-Star Classic.

After his time on the Shore, Parham had a 10-year international basketball which included stints in Poland, Germany, Chile, Mexico, Brasil, Peru, Venezuela, Turkey and Canada. He also played in the NBA Summer League for both the Chicago Bulls (2006) and the Los Angeles Clippers (2015) and was drafted twice by the NBADL (2006: Bakersfield Jam, 2009: Tulsa 66ers). He found his most success in the Canadian National Basketball League where he is the league's all-time leading rebounder. Started in the All-Star Game was All-NBL in 2013-14 and was named Center of the Year as a member of the Halifax Rainmen. Won a league title with the NBL's Windsor Express in 2015.

He began working with 2K sports in 2010 during his time as a player, filming motion capture for the company's NBA 2K series. Post retirement from the court he joined 2K Sports full time as a member of the game's development team.
