Frank Mowery served as a three-year starter for the Hawks basketball squad from 1952-1955. Mowery was the captain of the 1954-55 team that also included Hall-of-Famers Sonny Lloyd, Jerome Ford and Franklin Carr. Mowery, who made the Deans List in six of his eight college semesters, also played baseball where he captained the 1954 CIAA championship team.
